From vacant land to housing that matches and improves the neighborhood.
Walker Street is a quiet dead end street located within walking distance to a popular grocery store and downtown Morganton. The entirety of one side of the road was owned for 100+ years by the same family including three houses. The land had become overgrown, weedy and unruly while the houses, which were converted to rentals in the early 2000’s were disheveled.
PAVA approached the family about purchasing all 17 acres and the three houses in 2022. We restored and sold the three houses and created a by right subdivision plan that would fit into the surrounding neighborhoods. The newly created lots average over an acre and preserve lots of the old growth trees.
